A Sonoma man was arrested for allegedly assaulting an individual in downtown Petaluma on Friday evening, police said.

A fight was reported at the Keller Street Garage in downtown Petaluma late Friday night. Petaluma police officers arrived around 11:50 p.m. and found the victim with a bruise on their face from allegedly being kicked in the head, according to the Petaluma Police Department.

The suspect fled the scene in a car. A vehicle in the area matched the described getaway car and officers found 21-year-old Adan Juarez-Munoz of Sonoma. Police said Juarez-Munoz matched the description of the man who fled the scene of the alleged assault.

Juarez-Munoz was arrested and booked in Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and violation of probation.
